The University of Wisconsin football program welcomed a fresh batch of recruits for official visits this past weekend, marking another milestone in its aggressive 2027 recruiting campaign.
Two prospects stood out during the weekend: four-star wide receiver Jai Jones and three-star linebacker Nathan Jones. Both players announced verbally that they will join the Badgers, adding to the growing list of commitments.
A Tradition of Official Visits
Since the inception of summer official visits in 2018, the Badgers have leveraged these trips to build relationships with top talent. Coach Luke Fickell and his staff have refined the process, turning each visit into a platform for showcasing the program's culture and facilities.
The weekend's success is not an isolated event. In recent years, the Badgers have secured pledges from a string of notable recruits, including Hank Weber, Kevin Heywood, Ryan Cory, Logan Powell, Mason Posa, Ben Wenzel, Djidjou Bah, Arthur Scot, and Jack Sievers. Each of those commitments stemmed from an official visit that highlighted the university's academic strengths and athletic vision.
With the latest verbal pledges, the 2027 class now stands at 15 announced commitments, underscoring the program's ability to convert visits into long‑term roster pieces. The momentum also reflects a broader trend of the Badgers punching above their weight in national recruiting rankings.
