Boise State University announced this week that Jayda Clark, who starred for the Broncos from 2021 through 2025, will return to the program in a graduate assistant capacity for the upcoming season. The move comes as the team looks to build on its recent successes and maintain the competitive edge that has defined the program in the Mountain West Conference.
Clark graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a milestone that underscored her commitment both on the court and in the classroom. During her playing career she appeared in 84 games, contributing to a period that saw the Broncos capture multiple conference titles and earn regular-season honors.
Head coach Gordy Presnell praised the transition, noting that Clark’s intimate understanding of the program’s culture will be invaluable as the team navigates the next chapter. “Jayda knows what it means to wear the blue and orange,” Presnell said. “Her experience, work ethic, and connection to the community make her a natural fit for this role.”
A native of Richland, Washington, Clark brings a regional perspective that resonates with fans across the Pacific Northwest. She honed her skills at Richland High School under coach Hayley Middleton, where she also excelled in track and field and maintained a spot on the honor roll for all four years.
In her new role, Clark will assist with recruiting, player development, and day‑to‑day operations, while also serving as a mentor to current student‑athletes. Her dual identity as alumna and emerging coach reflects a growing trend of programs leveraging former players to sustain institutional memory and continuity.
The university’s athletics department highlighted the significance of the appointment, emphasizing that Clark’s return aligns with Boise State’s broader mission of fostering leadership and academic excellence. “We are excited to see Jayda bring her passion back to the campus that shaped her,” the release stated.
