Eastern Michigan University Launches Referral Program to Boost Basketball Season Ticket Sales

Fans who recruit new season ticket holders can earn free tickets, food vouchers and exclusive upgrades.

A Fresh Incentive for Eagles Fans

Eastern Michigan University is opening its doors to a new season of basketball, offering season ticket packages for both the men's and women's teams that promise a richer game‑day experience.

At the heart of the initiative is a Basketball Referral Program that rewards fans who bring new supporters into the fold, granting them perks such as free tickets, food vouchers, and even a complimentary courtside seat upgrade for a single game.

Tiered Pricing and Package Details

Reserved seats for the men's team carry a $150 price tag, while general admission sits at $125. A "Green & White" package priced at $130 adds a $30 support gift to the EMU Basketball Pep Band.

For the women's side, reserved tickets are $100, general admission $75, and the "Green & White" option at $90 also contributes $30 to the pep band.

Each new and referred season ticket holder will receive a free single‑game courtside seat upgrade, giving them a taste of premium seating at no extra cost.

Program Leadership and Vision

Billy Donlon, who oversees the effort, emphasized that the referral incentives are designed to deepen community involvement and provide tangible reasons for fans to champion EMU basketball.

The initiative reflects a broader strategy to enrich the atmosphere at Rynearson Arena, turning alumni, students and local supporters into active ambassadors for the program.
