A fresh take on campus romance
Prime Video's new romance series "Off Campus" arrives on the streaming platform, adapting best‑selling novels by Elle Kennedy. The show centers on the intertwined love lives of college hockey players, with each season devoted to a different couple. The debut season follows team captain Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells as they navigate romance amid the rigors of varsity play.
To bring the on‑ice action to life, the principal cast spent two weeks in a hockey boot camp, working with a former professional player to perfect their movements. Belmont Cameli, Ella Bright, Jalen Thomas Brooks, and Dave Tomlinson, among others, trained side by side, turning the set into a makeshift rink where every pass and shot felt authentic.
Series creator Louisa Levy has spoken highly of the earlier series "Heated Rivalry", noting that it broke new ground for hockey storytelling on television. Stephen Kalyn, who portrays Dean Di Laurentis in that show, expressed pride in the Canadian production's success, and he recalls that "Off Campus" entered production before "Heated Rivalry" made its HBO debut.
