The Vancouver Goldeneyes have announced a new head coach after concluding their debut season in the Professional Women’s Hockey League.
Brian Idalski, who guided the club through its inaugural campaign, will step down after the team finished sixth in the league standings and earned the first overall selection in the 2026 PWHL Draft.
A New Direction for the Goldeneyes
General manager Cara Gardner Morey confirmed the transition and emphasized the organization’s commitment to building on the momentum generated by a competitive first season.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Goldeneyes are a member of the Professional Women’s Hockey League, whose official site can be found at pwhl.gg.
The move comes as the league looks ahead to the upcoming draft, giving the franchise the opportunity to shape its future with the top pick.
