A Recruiting Surge
The University of South Florida’s football program has vaulted to the top of the American Conference recruiting rankings following a flurry of commitments over the weekend.
Offensive lineman Lawson Bentley from Calvary Day School in Savannah, Georgia, pledged to the Bulls, bringing a 6‑2, 280‑pound frame and a reputation for solid footwork and mobility that attracted interest from at least a dozen other programs.
Edge rusher Christian Stowe from Shelby, North Carolina, also chose USF despite scheduled visits to Charlotte and East Carolina, underscoring the coaching staff’s ability to sway top talent.
Running back Abram Hilton from Sylvania, Georgia, added his name to the class after a high school season that produced 1,602 yards and 18 touchdowns, a performance that earned him offers from Pitt, Georgia Southern, Army and Navy.
Head coach Brian Hartline, now in his first year leading the Bulls, has leveraged the transfer portal and his own recruiting network to reinforce the offensive line, a move that analysts say could reshape the team’s immediate outlook.
The Bulls are also still in pursuit of defensive lineman Jayden Agberodiola, who holds offers from several SEC schools, keeping the momentum alive as the recruiting cycle progresses.
