A Season of Records and Resilience
The Tennessean has unveiled its All‑Midstate First and Second teams for the 2026 TSSAA boys soccer season, spotlighting the three programs that captured state championships — Station Camp, Independence Academy and Ravenwood. The selections reflect a year in which on‑field excellence was matched by stories of perseverance and ambition.
Among the honorees, Station Camp’s coach Jeremy Cooke stands out not only for guiding his team to a second straight Class AA title but also for achieving the feat just weeks after donating a kidney. His performance earned him the Coach of the Year award, underscoring the profound impact of personal resilience on the program’s success.
Record‑Breaking Performances
Aiden Pierpoint of Page High School set a new single‑season goal record with 36 goals and five assists, a milestone that has already attracted attention from several collegiate programs. His combination of scoring prowess and playmaking has positioned him as one of the most watched prospects in the region.
Other standout players include Matheus Poubel from Webb School‑Bell Buckle, who contributed 26 goals and nine assists to earn an All‑District 3 nod, and Ryan Hendon of Station Camp, named state championship MVP after scoring the decisive goal in a 1‑0 victory over South Doyle. Aidan Wells from Brentwood was recognized as District 10‑AAA Offensive Player of the Year, while Simon Hetrick of Ravenwood claimed the district’s Midfielder of the Year honor.
Additional awardees such as Caleb Moss, Bo Robbins, Zach Arradi, Logan Williamson, Eduardo Carreira, Elijah van der Heijden and Connor Shave were celebrated for their contributions to deep tournament runs, defensive solidity and midfield creativity. Their recognitions illustrate the breadth of talent across the All‑Midstate teams.
Beyond individual accolades, several players have already committed to collegiate programs, including Belmont, Mississippi College, Wofford, Lipscomb, West Florida, Dartmouth, Berry College and Colorado School of Mines, signaling a promising pipeline of talent heading into the next level.
