The Spanish National Football Team touched down in Chattanooga on June 5, establishing the Baylor Soccer Complex as its exclusive practice venue for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. The facility, nestled in Tennessee’s scenic outskirts, offers secluded fields and immaculately maintained turf that the squad praised for its ideal training conditions.
Local entrepreneur SpeedPro Chattanooga, a family‑owned print shop, seized the opportunity to rebrand the complex with the Spanish team’s colors and logos. Banners, signage and specially designed training rooms now bear the federation’s crest, turning the site into a vibrant showcase of international football culture.
Community Training Session Opens Doors
On June 6, the team will host a free community training session at the Baylor School Soccer Complex, inviting local fans to watch a live practice and engage with players. Attendance is limited, prompting The Sports & Events Corporation to run a ticket‑drawing for a handful of complimentary passes.
The rebranding effort was coordinated by Kyle Mize, president of SpeedPro Chattanooga, who worked closely with the Spanish federation’s promoter to align the visual identity with the team’s specifications. Chad Mize, co‑owner of the print shop, toured the facility alongside his brother Kyle to oversee the installation of banners and decorative elements.
Family members Chad, Kyle and Betsy Mize have been instrumental in managing the project from start to finish, handling everything from design approvals to the final placement of team insignia. Their collaboration with the Spanish federation began in April, allowing ample time to produce and hang the myriad of graphics now adorning the complex.
A Strategic Choice for a Global Tournament
The Spanish squad selected the Baylor Soccer Complex not only for its physical attributes but also for its relative isolation, which promises a focused environment away from the public eye. This strategic choice underscores the team’s intent to fine‑tune tactics and build cohesion ahead of the world’s most prestigious football tournament.
