A busy September ahead
Florida State announced that its showdown with SMU will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 7, and will be carried live on ESPN. The following week, the Seminoles will host Florida at 3:30 p.m. on ABC, also at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
Both games mark the first high‑profile television slots for the 2026 season and underscore the program’s continued emphasis on marquee matchups. The September 7 contest will be the ninth Labor Day meeting for the Seminoles since 2005, a streak that highlights the tradition of opening the college football calendar with a nationally televised affair.
The Seminoles and Gators last met on a Friday night in 2022, when Florida State edged a 45‑38 victory on home turf. That memory adds extra intrigue to the upcoming ABC broadcast, as fans anticipate another tightly contested battle.
Beyond the two headline games, the 2026 schedule features seven home contests, beginning with New Mexico State on August 29. After the SMU game, the team will welcome Central Arkansas, Virginia, and Clemson before closing the regular season with road tests against NC State and Florida in late November.
Season tickets for the 2026 campaign are now on sale, with prices starting at $350. Each ticket package includes a mandatory Seminole Boosters contribution, ensuring fans contribute to the athletic department’s broader fundraising goals.
While the announced kickoff times and TV assignments provide a clear early‑season roadmap, future dates and broadcast partners remain to be finalized as the schedule continues to evolve.
