Bryce Cermenelli stands out for his perfect 4.0 GPA in Professional Studies/Sports Management and his simultaneous placement on the Conference USA All‑Academic Team, reflecting a rare blend of academic precision and athletic commitment.
Taeg Gollert makes history as the Bears' first three‑time Academic All‑District honoree. After graduating with a degree in Communication Studies, he left his mark on the program with record‑setting performances in doubles, extra‑base hits and grand slams.
Jason Schaaf concludes his collegiate career with 37 pitching starts and a 3.57 GPA in General Business. His steady progression on the mound and consistent academic performance illustrate a well‑rounded student‑athlete.
Owen Slater, a sophomore majoring in Finance, carries a 3.69 GPA while contributing on the field with a 4‑3 record and 12 starts this season. His early impact suggests a promising future both in the classroom and in competition.
Curry Sutherland earns a repeat Academic All‑District nod with a 3.65 GPA in Communication Studies. He also leads the team in several offensive categories, batting .307 with 16 home runs and 54 RBIs, and remains a semifinalist for the prestigious John Olerud Two‑Way Player of the Year award.
