The College Sports Communicators has announced its latest Academic All-District Team, honoring five members of the Edgewood University baseball program for their remarkable blend of athletic prowess and scholarly achievement.
A Season Defined by Dual Excellence
During the 2026 campaign, the Eagles posted a competitive record while each of the recognized players maintained a strong academic standing, underscoring the university’s commitment to developing well-rounded leaders.
Hayden Hellenbrand, a junior from Middleton, Wisconsin, anchored the infield with a .315 batting average and 52 hits, including nine doubles, two triples and two home runs, while carrying a 3.97 cumulative GPA in accounting and earning both Academic All-District and NACC Scholar-Athlete accolades.
Aidan Kammer, a sophomore from Jefferson, Wisconsin, contributed a .337 average and 57 hits, featuring seven doubles, a triple and two homers, and posted a perfect 4.00 GPA as a business major, also receiving Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Carter Kelley, a sophomore outfielder from Chandler, Arizona, steadied the outfield with a .953 fielding percentage, 97 putouts and four assists, while adding 39 hits, 32 RBI and six home runs to the lineup and maintaining a 3.87 GPA in biology.
Dominic Lee, a senior from Waukesha, Wisconsin, continued to be a lineup mainstay, batting .314 with 44 hits and three home runs, and earned a 3.85 GPA in business, adding Academic All-District and NACC Scholar-Athlete honors to his résumé.
Mark Tor, a senior pitcher from Homer Glen, Illinois, threw 54 innings, posting a 5-2 record and 49 strikeouts, while excelling academically with a 3.95 GPA in physics and being named a NACC Scholar-Athlete.
Academic Majors and Future Aspirations
The five honorees span a range of disciplines, from accounting and business to biology and physics, reflecting the university’s diverse academic offerings and the students’ varied career ambitions.
Their GPAs, all above 3.8, demonstrate a commitment to scholarly rigor that complements the demanding schedule of collegiate athletics, positioning them for success both on the diamond and in their professional pursuits.
