Three members of the Saint Joseph's University baseball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators 2026 Academic All-District Team, an honor that blends classroom achievement with on‑field performance. The recognition celebrates student‑athletes who excel academically while making significant contributions to their squads.
Academic Excellence Meets Athletic Prowess
Tim Dickinson, a business intelligence and analytics major from Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, appeared in every game except one and started all but two for the Hawks. He ranked among the team leaders in average, doubles, triples, stolen bases and on‑base percentage, and posted eight multi‑RBI games, including two four‑RBI outings. Dickinson also enjoyed a 28‑game on‑base streak, underscoring his consistency at the plate.
Jason Janesko, a health science major from Moosic, Pennsylvania, started all but one contest and led the team in stolen bases while topping the squad in several offensive categories such as average, hits, doubles, runs scored, RBI, home runs, walks and slugging. He recorded 17 multi‑hit and 11 multi‑RBI games and maintained a 17‑game on‑base streak, reflecting his durability and impact throughout the season.
Joey Pagano, a finance major from Ridgewood, New Jersey, ranked second on the team in doubles, home runs, walks and slugging and third in runs scored and RBI. He was named Atlantic 10 Co‑Player of the Week on April 27 and earned All‑Championship Team honors at the conference tournament, where he helped the Hawks secure a strong finish.
The three selections place them in the running for the College Sports Communicators Academic All‑America squads, a prestigious national accolade that celebrates the pinnacle of academic and athletic performance. Their achievements also highlight the university's commitment to developing well‑rounded leaders within its athletic programs.
