Bryant University’s men’s basketball program is set for a significant coaching overhaul as head coach Jamion Christian unveiled a new-look staff for the 2026‑27 season. The announcement comes as the Bulldogs look to bounce back from a season that fell short of expectations and to re‑establish themselves as a consistent contender in the competitive Northeast Conference.
A fresh offensive mind
Morgan Williams, who spent the previous year as a volunteer assistant and director of advanced scouting, will step into a full‑time role focused on the offense. Williams brings a blend of experience from stints at Mount Aloysius College, Saint Peter’s University and Seton Hall, giving him a deep understanding of both mid‑major and high‑major programs.
Zavier Anderson joins as the defensive coordinator, bringing 15 years of Division I experience, including eight seasons at Florida International University where he helped shape a stingy defense. His background also includes stops at UAB and a reputation for crafting schemes that can disrupt opponents’ rhythm.
Randy Phillips arrives with a dual focus on defense and recruiting. Having honed his skills at UNC Greensboro, where he contributed to three straight 20‑win seasons, Phillips also boasts a professional playing career abroad in Canada, France and Switzerland, giving him a unique perspective on player development.
The reshaped staff is rounded out by second‑year associate head coach Harley Fuller, along with TJ McEnaney and Sean Oates, forming a cohesive unit that Christian believes can blend strategic planning with the intangible qualities needed to compete at the highest level. ‘We’re building something special,’ Christian said, emphasizing that the new team is designed to drive the program back into the NCAA Tournament.
