College Sports Communicators recognizes 26 Big South players ahead of national ballot announcements on June 23

College Sports Communicators has unveiled the 2025‑26 Academic All‑District® Softball teams, spotlighting the conference’s top student‑athletes who excel both in the classroom and on the field.

A total of 26 Big South baseball players earned spots on the teams, a testament to their dual commitment to scholarship and sport.

The CSC will reveal the first‑, second‑ and third‑team Academic All‑America® honorees on June 23, after which those standouts will move onto the national ballot for the prestigious All‑America® accolade.

Participating institutions span the conference’s footprint, with representatives from High Point University, Longwood University, Presbyterian College, Radford University, the University of North Carolina Asheville, the University of South Carolina Upstate, and Winthrop University.

Among the recognized athletes are Jake McCarter, Frank Kelly, Jack Carey, Lane Allen and Wade Walton from High Point; Brogan Jones and Joe Gomez from Longwood; Amman Dewberry, Robbie Boykin, Mason McDaniel, JJ Harrell, Eli Bowery and Hunter Keen from Presbyterian; Matthew Lefevers, Joshua Milleville, Andrew Steinhaus, Noah Toole and Patrick Gillen from Radford; Cooper Smith, Owen Michelson, Lucas Boesen and Max Kaplan from UNC Asheville; Wylie Waters, Tyler Lang and Henry Zenor from USC Upstate; and Alan Benhardt from Winthrop.
