The University of Toledo Athletic Department has unveiled the promotional themes that will shape the 2026 home football season at the Glass Bowl, promising a year of fan‑favorite traditions, special recognitions, giveaways and celebrations.
A Season of Celebration
The schedule kicks off with the “Biggest Party in Toledo,” a game that will honor the Greek student‑life community and first responders in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of September 11, while also setting the tone for a season rich in community spirit.
Band Day will bring together marching bands from across the region to join the Rocket Marching Band on the field, while young dancers perform pre‑game routines that add a festive flair to the atmosphere.
Homecoming festivities will feature a parade through campus, a special Toledo Football T‑shirt giveaway, and UToledo Family Weekend, which will also spotlight youth athletes from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
An Oktoberfest celebration will be held outside the Glass Bowl, offering food, beverages and entertainment for fans gathering before the game.
The Salute to Service game will pay tribute to members of the United States Armed Forces with military‑focused activations and honors that highlight the team’s appreciation for those who serve.
The Rockets will also honor their senior class and celebrate the 60th birthday of their beloved mascot Rocky, adding a personal touch to the season’s narrative.
The regular‑season home finale will pit Toledo against Bowling Green in the annual Battle of I‑75 rivalry, culminating in a special‑edition rivalry challenge coin for fans who attend.
Under first‑year head coach Mike Jacobs, the team returns four experienced offensive linemen and welcomes a highly touted transfer portal class that includes 2025 FCS Defensive Player of the Year Andrew Zock, while junior quarterback John Alan Richter brings 699 career yards and seven touchdowns to the mix.
Season tickets for the 2026 campaign are now available through the Rocket Ticket Office, online or by phone, and three‑game mini‑plans will go on sale in June.
