The Lincoln Stars have named Curtis Brown Vice President of Hockey Operations, a move that underscores the organization’s commitment to deepening its player development pipeline as it heads into its 31st season.
A Strategic Appointment
In his new role, Brown will coordinate development programs that bridge the gap between the Stars’ junior squad, collegiate prospects and the professional ranks, ensuring athletes have clear pathways to advance.
Brown’s appointment follows a three‑year stint overseeing the Stars’ AAA program, where he helped shape a competitive environment that produced several standout talents.
His playing career spanned 13 NHL seasons with the Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks, during which he logged 300 points in 736 games and earned a reputation as a reliable two‑way forward.
Transitioning to coaching, Brown spent a dozen years with the San Jose Sharks organization, leading the Jr. Sharks program and later serving as a television analyst for NBC Sports California, experiences that blend on‑ice insight with media savvy.
Expressing his gratitude, Brown said he is honored to give back to the sport that shaped his career and eager to help the Stars’ next generation chase their ambitions.
Fans can stay updated on the team’s progress through the official website and social media channels as the Stars prepare for another exciting season.
