A Weekend of All‑Star Competition
The 2026 Fellowship of Christian Athletes All‑Star week in the Texoma region culminated with the Battle at the Border softball and baseball games at Burkburnett High School, where Texas squads faced off against their Oklahoma counterparts in a post‑season showcase.
Hosted by Greater Wichita Falls FCA and FCA Southwest Oklahoma, the event brought together high school athletes from across the area for a series of contests that blended competition with the mission of the Christian athletes’ organization.
In the softball matchup, Texas secured a 4‑0 victory, marking the first win over Oklahoma in five years and underscoring the growing strength of the Texas program.
The baseball game was even more lopsided, as Texas erupted for six runs in the second inning and never looked back, eventually rolling to a 13‑2 triumph that highlighted the depth of talent on the Texas side.
The excitement will continue on Thursday at 6 p.m., when girls’ and boys’ basketball games are slated to take place at the same venue, giving fans another chance to see the all‑star talent in action.
Looking Ahead
Organizers say the All‑Star week serves not only as a celebration of athletic achievement but also as a platform for sharing faith‑based values with the next generation of competitors. As the schedule unfolds, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes remains at the center of the event, coordinating logistics and outreach.
