The College Football Playoff, together with ESPN and TNT Sports, unveiled the kickoff times and broadcast assignments for the 2026‑27 postseason, setting a detailed slate that stretches from mid‑December through late January.
First‑Round Action
First‑round games will open on Dec. 18, with the opening contest slated for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, and the subsequent three matchups on Dec. 19 spread across noon, 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., each carried by ABC, ESPN, TNT or truTV.
Quarterfinal Slots
The quarterfinals will be staged at three of the New Year’s Six bowls — the Fiesta, Peach and Cotton — while the Rose Bowl will host the fourth quarterfinal, though its specific window will be announced on Dec. 6 once the playoff field is set.
Semifinals and Championship
The first semifinal is scheduled for Jan. 14 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. and airing on TNT and truTV, while the second semifinal follows a day later at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, also at 7:30 p.m., broadcast on ABC and ESPN.
The championship game will be played on Jan. 25 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with a 7:30 p.m. start and a presence across the ESPN family of networks, including ABC, while all ESPN‑network telecasts will also be streamed via the ESPN app and, for TNT and truTV, on HBO Max.
