The annual Colorado‑Kansas 6‑man All‑State football showcase will take place this Saturday at Rex Field on the campus of Adams State University in Alamosa. The event brings together three teams—two from Colorado and one from Kansas—into a tightly scheduled slate of matches that promises fast‑paced play and a celebration of high‑school talent.
A Compact but Intense Schedule
Each contest will consist of two 12‑minute halves, and every team will play two games. The Kansas squad is slated to face the Colorado North team at 11 a.m., then the Colorado South team at 12:30 p.m., before the two Colorado sides meet each other at 2 p.m. The condensed format creates a whirlwind of action for players and fans alike.
Among the Colorado South roster, four athletes come from Sierra Grande High School, adding a local flavor to the matchup. Their participation underscores the role of smaller programs in the broader all‑state selection process.
Players from a host of rural districts—including Branson/Kim, Cheraw, Cheyenne Wells, Eads, Hanover, Kiowa, Kit Carson, La Veta and Walsh—will also be on display, illustrating the breadth of talent across the region. The Colorado North side draws its roster from communities such as Briggsdale, Caliche, Deer Trail, Idalia, Otis, Peetz, Prairie and Weldon Valley, while the Kansas side includes athletes from Cunningham, Golden Plains, Ingalls, Maria's des Cygnes Valley, Northern Valley, Otis‑Bison, Tescott and Weskan.
