Kansas Baseball Coaches Announce 2026 All‑State Teams and Award Winners

The Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches has released its 2026 all‑state baseball teams, honoring the standout performers from Class 6A through Class 2‑1A.

Class 6A Honors

Beau Peterson of Mill Valley was selected as the Class 6A Player of the Year, while Zane Shaw from Lawrence Free State earned Pitcher of the Year honors. Rocky Helm, also from Maize, was named Coach of the Year for the same classification.

The selections span every tier of high school baseball in the state, from the largest schools in Class 6A down to the smallest in Class 2‑1A, recognizing first‑team, second‑team and honorable‑mention athletes across the board.

Class 5A Honors

In Class 5A, Myles Ross of Kansas City Piper was crowned Player of the Year, while Arkansas City’s Jordey Pierce and Salina Central’s Bodie Rodriguez shared Pitcher of the Year recognition. Rick Sabath, the coach of the team, was honored as Coach of the Year for the classification.

Class 4A Honors

Parker Clubb from Mulvane was named Player of the Year, Grey Sanders earned Pitcher of the Year, and Steve Nelson was selected as Coach of the Year, completing a sweep of individual accolades for the tier.

Class 3A Honors

Reece Tolar of Cheney received Player of the Year, Kam Smith of Girard was recognized as Pitcher of the Year, and Matt Wilkens of Council Grove was named Coach of the Year, highlighting the depth of talent in the division.

Class 2‑1A Honors

Ty Schmeidler from Thomas More Prep was honored as Player of the Year, Drew Dechant from Hutchinson Trinity took Pitcher of the Year, and Kenny Swart of Rossville was named Coach of the Year, rounding out the state’s top awards.

These awards not only celebrate individual excellence but also underscore the vital role coaches play in developing the next generation of baseball talent across Kansas.
