2026 Academic All-District Honors

Union College announced that three of its baseball standouts—Jacob Skarlis, Caleb Miller and Andrew Keaveney—have been selected for the 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Team, a distinction that honors student-athletes who excel both on the diamond and in the classroom.

Miller’s Record-Setting Career

Miller, a senior, has rewritten the school’s record books with career-high totals in hits, runs, RBIs, total bases and at-bats. His consistent production earned him All-Region III first-team honors for the second consecutive season, underscoring his impact on the team’s success.

Keaveney’s Offensive Surge

Keaveney posted a .411 batting average and a .513 on-base percentage, reaching base safely in 32 of 36 games. He delivered two four-hit performances and recorded 16 multi-hit games, providing the offense with a reliable spark throughout the season.

Skarlis’s Pitching Precision

Skarlis started nine games and finished with a 3-5 record while showcasing exceptional control. He opened his junior year by throwing eight shutout innings in a 10-3 victory over Rensselaer, a performance that highlighted his potential as a future ace.

The trio’s selections bring Union’s total Academic All-District honors to 314 since 2001, reflecting the program’s enduring commitment to balancing athletic ambition with academic rigor.
