London Goggans, a three-star safety from Grayson, Georgia, announced his commitment to Kansas State on Tuesday, becoming the fifth pledge in the Wildcats’ 2027 recruiting class.
A Commitment That Signals Momentum
Goggans chose the Wildcats over Arkansas, Purdue and Mississippi State after a recruitment that began when head coach Chris Klieman’s staff extended an offer in mid-October. The decision underscores the growing appeal of Kansas State’s program among top prospects in the Southeast.
During his junior season he recorded 27 tackles and three interceptions, numbers that have earned him the No. 87 ranking at his position and the No. 855 spot overall in the 247Sports Composite.
The 2027 class now sits at No. 34 nationally and fourth within the Big 12, trailing only Texas Tech, Houston and West Virginia in the conference pecking order.
His addition joins a cohort that already includes defensive backs, offensive linemen and four-star tackle Brayden Harris, a signee who is expected to arrive on campus next fall.
Coaches and analysts alike view the class as a foundation for future competitiveness, with the Wildcats aiming to climb higher in both regional and national rankings.
The commitment also reflects the program’s ability to attract talent despite not being a traditional powerhouse, a narrative that resonates with recruits seeking immediate playing time and development.
As the signing period approaches, Kansas State’s staff will look to build on this momentum, leveraging the excitement generated by Goggans’ pledge to reinforce recruiting efforts across the country.
