ESPN announced that it will broadcast every pitch of the 2026 NCAA Baseball Super Regionals from June 5‑8, delivering live coverage across its flagship channels and streaming platform.
All‑Access Broadcast Plan
The tournament will feature 16 teams competing in eight best‑of‑three series, with each game available on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. ESPN will station commentator crews at all eight sites, ensuring that viewers can follow the action in real time.
Studio coverage will be anchored by host Kris Budden, alongside analyst Mike Rooney and producer Matt Schick, who will provide pre‑game analysis, in‑game breakdowns and post‑game recaps throughout the event.
Commentator Teams on the Ground
Veteran voices such as Karl Ravech, Kyle Peterson and Chris Burke will join the on‑site crews, bringing decades of experience to the broadcast booth. Their reports will be supplemented by live updates from correspondent Mike Monaco and other field producers.
Notable Matchups and Historic Upsets
The bracket sees the No. 1 and No. 2 national seeds eliminated during Regional play, opening the door for surprise contenders. Cal Poly and Oklahoma advanced after pulling off upsets over higher‑seeded opponents, while Little Rock and St. John’s — both No. 4 regional seeds — reached the Super Regionals for the first time in NCAA Tournament history.
Among the remaining top seeds, No. 3 Georgia will meet Mississippi State, and No. 5 Texas will face Oregon, setting up high‑stakes matchups that could produce the next Men’s College World Series participants.
Draft Prospects and Award Contenders
Five of the top 40 prospects for the 2026 MLB Draft remain in the field, including Justin Lebron, Ace Reese and Cade Townsend. Additionally, Golden Spikes Award semifinalists Daniel Jackson, Aiden Robbins, Dylan Volantis and Tomas Valincius will compete, adding another layer of intrigue to the games.
With the Super Regionals set to determine the final participants for the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, ESPN has promised further coverage details in the coming weeks.
