The Southwestern Athletic Conference has released the broadcast schedule for the 2026 college football season, confirming that Jackson State will appear in a robust lineup of televised and streamed contests. As the reigning SWAC East champion, the Tigers enter the year with momentum after a 9‑3 record that culminated in a championship‑game loss to Prairie View A&M.
SWAC TV’s Free Streaming Reach
Four of Jackson State’s games are slated for broadcast on SWAC TV, the conference’s free online streaming platform. The matchups include Tuskegee, Grambling State, Bethune‑Cookman and Alabama A&M, giving fans across the country easy access to the action without a subscription fee.
In addition, the Tigers will feature in five games on ESPN networks, underscoring the conference’s growing partnership with the sports giant. The season opener against Tennessee State is set for August 29 and will air on ESPN+, though the kickoff time has yet to be announced.
HBCUGO Expands HBCU Coverage
Two further contests will be carried by HBCUGO, the dedicated streaming service for historically Black colleges and universities. The arrangement reflects a broader effort to bring HBCU football to a wider audience through multiple digital outlets.
The schedule not only highlights Jackson State’s prominence but also illustrates the increasing multimedia presence of SWAC football, blending traditional broadcast partners with innovative streaming services to reach fans wherever they watch.
