A Coach With a Championship Legacy
Daniel Fitts steps into the baseball dugout for Trumann, carrying with him a track record of success that includes back‑to‑back conference titles and a 2A state runner‑up finish just two years ago. His leadership helped shape a program that consistently competed at the highest level in Arkansas.
Before joining Trumann, Fitts served as head baseball coach and defensive coordinator at East Poinsett County, where he guided teams to multiple championships and earned the 2A‑3 Coach of the Year honor for 2026. He also honed his strategic acumen while working at Green Forest and Berryville, experiences that broadened his tactical perspective.
Expanding Responsibilities Within the District
Beyond the baseball field, Fitts will take on additional duties as an assistant football coach and assistant principal at Trumann Elementary School. This multifaceted role reflects the district’s confidence in his ability to contribute across sports and administration.
School officials say the appointment signals a desire to blend athletic excellence with strong leadership in the classroom. Parents and players alike are eager to see how Fitts’s disciplined approach will shape the next generation of Trumann athletes.
