Le Moyne College has named Shelby Case as its newest assistant coach for the women's basketball program, a move that underscores the school's commitment to elevating its competitive edge.
A coach with a scholar’s mindset
Case arrives after a productive period at Bucknell University, where she helped the Bison secure 28 victories and capture a tournament title, contributions that caught the eye of Athletic Director Nick DiPillo.
DiPillo highlighted Case's basketball acumen, relentless work ethic, and the depth of experience she brings, noting that her academic pursuits in sports administration align with the program's broader goals.
Case, who holds a master's degree in sports administration from Valparaiso University, expressed enthusiasm about joining Le Moyne and contributing to the team's trajectory.
Before transitioning to coaching, Case played collegiately at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she appeared in 35 games, started 18, logged 16.5 minutes per contest, scored 96 points and pulled down 78 rebounds.
Her blend of on‑court experience and academic preparation positions her as a unique asset as Le Moyne looks to build on recent momentum and expand its recruiting footprint.
