UC San Diego’s men’s soccer program will open its 2026 campaign with a ambitious slate of 17 regular‑season matches, eight of which will be played on the familiar turf of Triton Soccer Stadium. Head coach Jon Pascale announced the schedule, emphasizing the blend of home fixtures and road tests, including a season‑opening showdown against Navy on August 20.
The slate also features six conference battles under the newly forged Pac‑12 and Big West partnership, with the first league encounter slated for September 30 against Cal Poly. Early in the season the team will embark on a grueling stretch, traveling to face Houston Christian, Air Force, Pacific, UNLV and Utah Tech, while non‑conference visits from UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton will bring the action back to La Jolla.
A Schedule Designed for Competition
The schedule culminates with a regular‑season finale against San Diego State on October 31, a match that could determine the top four teams that advance to the Pac‑12 Championship. Ticket sales will begin June 15, with season passes priced at $50 for adults and $40 for youth, seniors, faculty and staff, while single‑match tickets become available July 27. Current UC San Diego students with valid IDs will enjoy free admission to every home game.
Beyond the on‑field challenges, the announcement marks a milestone as the Tritons enter a new era within the Big West, building on a legacy of 30 team national championships and a 90 percent graduation rate among scholar‑athletes.
