A busy recruiting weekend
Syracuse University’s football program is set to welcome a group of high‑school prospects for official visits from June 5 through June 7. The weekend marks the latest in a series of recruiting trips the Orange have organized this spring, following a similar visit weekend in late May.
Both committed athletes and top recruiting targets are expected on campus, underscoring the coaching staff’s aggressive approach as the 2027 class takes shape. The visits come at a time when Syracuse is looking to add depth at several positions before a dead period begins in late June.
Commitments already secured
Among the players already pledged to the Orange are Tank White, a three‑star athlete from Cocoa High School in Florida, and Bradyn Paulozzi, a three‑star edge/linebacker from St. Edward High School in Ohio. Marcus Small, an offensive tackle from First Coast High School in Jacksonville, and Edwin Guzman, an offensive lineman from Erie High School in Pennsylvania, have also verbally committed.
Targets on the radar
Beyond the pledged names, the visit list includes several other three‑star prospects who are still weighing their options. Tylek Lewis, a running back from Zachary High School in Louisiana, and Nico Ramos, an offensive lineman from American Heritage Schools in Florida, are among the targets drawing analyst attention. Botond Varga, an offensive tackle from Tabor Academy in Massachusetts, Isaiah Green from Lawrence Academy in Massachusetts, Suhayl Benson of Howard High School of Technology in Georgia, Jamel Griffin Jr. from Opelika High School in Alabama, Quincy Hearn from Notre Dame High School in New Jersey, and Jayden Paulino from Passaic County Technical Institute in New Jersey are all slated to be on campus.
Coaches hope the exposure will translate into additional pledges before the recruiting dead period kicks in on June 22, a milestone that will pause official visits until the next recruiting cycle.
