Rising Stars Set for 2026 All-American Honors
The University of Michigan has long been a factory of All-American talent, boasting 143 first-team selections and 76 consensus picks in its storied history. As the 2026 season approaches, the Wolverines are once again positioned to add several more names to that illustrious list.
Defensive end John Henry Daley emerged as a standout last year, recording 48 tackles, 11.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles-for-loss, earning first-team All-American honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation. His 1.59 tackles-for-loss per game ranked third nationally, while his 1.05 sacks per game placed him second, though a late-season Achilles rupture cast doubt on his full-season availability.
Running back Jordan Marshall also figures prominently after amassing 932 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns while averaging 6.2 yards per carry. His All-American prospects hinge on maintaining health and balancing a heavy workload against the risk of injury.
Safety Rod Moore, the sole remaining player from Michigan’s 2021 redeem team, tied for first among defensive backs with interceptions last season. Despite not having a full season since head coach Jim Harbaugh’s tenure, his durability and playmaking ability keep him in the conversation.
Cornerbacks Jyaire Hill and Zeke Berry have demonstrated remarkable consistency, posting nearly identical statistics over the past two years. Their steady performance on the back end bolsters a secondary that could be among the nation’s best.
Wide receiver Andrew Marsh broke out as the Big Ten’s top freshman last year, finishing with 651 yards and four touchdowns despite a few low-output games. His emergence adds another weapon to a revamped receiving corps.
The collective impact of these candidates reflects a program that continues to attract elite talent, and their performances will be closely watched as the Wolverines aim to contend for conference and national success.
