Commitment Announcement
Carter Fisk, a 6‑foot‑5 combo guard from St. Frances Academy in Maryland, revealed his commitment to Villanova on June 3, choosing the Wildcats over several other programs that had expressed interest.
The recruit was named The Baltimore Sun’s All‑Metro Player of the Year after leading his high school to a 36‑7 record and capturing multiple championships. In his senior season he posted averages of 17.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Roster Needs
Villanova’s current roster contains ten players, six of whom are listed as guards, leaving the team thin at the center position. The coaching staff has been actively seeking a true big man to provide interior presence and rebounding depth.
The Wildcats have already secured a key flip in March when Adam Oumiddoch switched his commitment from St. John’s to Villanova, underscoring the program’s growing appeal on the East Coast.
International Front‑Court Target
Beyond domestic talent, Villanova is also courting Luigi Suigo, a 7‑foot‑3 forward currently entered in the 2026 NBA Draft. Suigo has until June 13 to withdraw from the draft, and his potential addition would directly address the team’s need for a front‑court anchor.
If Suigo decides to remain in the draft, the Wildcats may still finish with a strong recruiting class, but the competition for his signature adds an extra layer of intrigue to an already busy offseason for the program.
