The University of Kansas will host an NCAA Super Regional at Hoglund Ballpark from June 6 through June 8, featuring a best‑of‑three series against the Oklahoma Sooners that will decide one of the eight spots in the College World Series.
Enhanced Fan Experience at Hoglund Ballpark
Hoglund Ballpark has been upgraded with a new fan zone called ‘The Backyard’ beyond the left‑field fence, where lawn chairs are welcome as long as they are carried in through the dedicated gate. The area also includes ‘The Backyard Decks’ in right field and right‑center, offering standing‑room views, concessions and a dedicated water refill station.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 5 at 10:00 a.m. CT via the Kansas Athletics Ticket Office website and the Kansas Jayhawks app. Pricing ranges from $25 for The Backyard to $50 for reserved chairback seats, while students can claim free tickets through the Allen Fieldhouse Ticket Office, with the first 130 students receiving complimentary access and later availability at $10 per ticket.
Free parking will be available in lots 90, 93, 112, 125 and 127, and pre‑game tailgating is permitted in lots 90 and 127. The Crimson Club inside Allen Fieldhouse will remain open for fans to watch the games without a ticket, providing climate‑controlled seating and additional food options.
Safety improvements include protective netting down the third‑base line and an extended concourse that now stretches into adjacent parking lots, adding restrooms, extra concessions and food trucks that accept credit cards only. The former bullpen space has been repurposed as a reserved standing‑room area with a tent, beverage access and enhanced netting for fan safety.
Accessible seating will be released on a first‑come, first‑served basis, and fans with reserved bench tickets may bring personal seatbacks no wider than 20 inches. All University of Kansas athletic events are fully digital, meaning tickets and related information are accessed through online accounts.
