Indiana’s boys have dominated the series, sweeping last year and holding a 107‑46 lead that dates back to 1940, while Kentucky’s girls, despite sweeping the 2025 edition, still trail 55‑43 in a rivalry that began in 1976.
Among the standout players, Luke Ertel, the Mr. Basketball from Mt. Vernon, will lead Indiana’s boys and has signed with Purdue; Jake Feldhaus, Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball from Madison Central, has committed to South Florida; Jayden Johnson of Trinity poured in 28 points with eight three-pointers in a recent senior victory; Gracyn Gilliard of Center Grove, a Stanford signee, will wear Indiana’s No. 1 jersey as the state’s Miss Basketball; Ashlinn James of Assumption, an Indiana University commit, is Kentucky’s Miss Basketball; and Bri Wilkins of Sacred Heart scored 13 points in a loss to the Kentucky Junior All-Stars.
