Roy Price Jr. has emerged as one of the most feared pass rushers in Ohio high school football, finishing the last season with 73 tackles, 16 of which came behind the line of scrimmage, and seven sacks that helped the Newark Wildcats secure consecutive winning campaigns — the first such achievement in two decades.
His performance earned him MVP honors at an Under Armour showcase in Pickerington, where coaches and scouts alike noted his relentless motor and ability to disrupt opposing offenses.
‘Bill Franks, Newark’s head coach, praised Price’s work ethic and hunger to improve, saying the youngster ‘has the kind of drive that can take a program to new heights,’ and that the decision to commit to the University of Minnesota was a natural next step.
