Colorado Buffaloes have secured a commitment from three‑star center Eric Jacobsen, a 6‑foot‑11 prospect from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who will join the 2026‑27 roster.
A towering presence for the Buffs
Jacobsen, ranked No. 387 overall and the second‑best player from his state, arrives as the tallest recruit in the class, addressing the team’s need for size after a season that saw the Buffs struggle on the glass.
He chose Colorado over offers from New Mexico, UAB, New Hampshire and Binghamton, and brings a blend of size and athleticism that coaches hope will translate into stronger rebounding and interior defense.
Jacobsen joins a 2026 class that also features combo guard Rider Portela, power forward Goc Malual and point guard Alex Dickeson, a group that sits at No. 106 nationally and No. 12 in the Big 12 Conference.
With the addition of Jacobsen, the Buffaloes have now filled all 15 scholarship spots on their roster, completing a recruiting class that ranks among the mid‑tier of national expectations.
