On Sunday, Glover stepped onto the Miami campus for an official visit and used the experience to seal his decision. In a brief statement released on social media, he said the culture and coaching staff at Miami aligned with his long‑term goals, prompting him to pledge his future to the Hurricanes.
The commitment marks a significant shift, as Glover had previously listed Georgia, Texas A&M and Notre Dame among his top choices. Each of those schools had been actively pursuing the Virginia product, with Georgia and Texas A&M already holding two linebacker pledges apiece, while Notre Dame held one.
Miami’s 2027 recruiting class now stands at 17 commitments, with Glover joining another four‑star linebacker as the second defensive standout in the group. The early pledge also signals the Hurricanes’ aggressive push to rebuild a defense that has faced criticism in recent seasons.
