Leon County’s 2026 Baseball Standouts
The 2026 season has become a showcase for offensive talent in Leon County, where a select group of hitters has distinguished themselves through consistent production and clutch performances.
Leading the pack, Nicky Fiore of Maclay posted a .473 batting average, the highest in the county, and his impact was evident in a 2‑for‑2 outing against Godby that featured a double and three RBIs, underscoring his ability to drive runs when the team needed it most.
Close behind, Tucker Poppell also from Maclay compiled a .446 average, renowned for his extra‑base hits and timely RBIs; he delivered standout performances against TCHS, Munroe and JCHS, and finished the year with seven doubles, a triple and 27 RBIs, a testament to his knack for turning singles into scoring opportunities.
Saunder Dinkelman of Chiles rounded out the top three with a .412 average, his power hitting highlighted by a breakout game against Choctawhatchee in which he amassed four RBIs while going 3 for 3, a performance that helped swing momentum in several blowout victories.
