The Louisiana Sports Writers Association unveiled its 2026 Class 2A All‑State baseball and softball teams on June 4, spotlighting the best talent from across the state and drawing attention to the strong showings by schools in Northeast Louisiana.

Baseball Honors

Ridge Coats of Ouachita Christian was crowned the Most Outstanding Player in baseball after a dominant season in which he batted .391 with 11 home runs and 55 RBIs, helping the Eagles capture the Division IV select championship.

The All‑State roster also featured Reed Smalling and Ethan Polk from Ouachita Christian, Carson Mooney of Mangham, and a host of other standouts including Will Raymond, Aaron Eldridge, Ethan Higgins, Blake Pierce, Colby Casey, Tyler Strickland and Jenson Hurley, who earned honorable‑mention recognition.

Softball Selections

In the softball division, Oak Grove’s Kinley Cox and Caroline Bradley, Kennedy Reppond from Ouachita Christian, as well as Karley Caskey and Kaylie Callender of Winnfield, led the honorees, while Joley Bennett of D’Arbonne Woods Charter also made the list.

Additional softball honorable mentions went to Addie Morris, Kelsey Bruce, Gracie Price, Avery Hankins, Fallyn Moore, Lylah Jones, Aubrey Zachary, Abbigail Hardie and Santana Harris, rounding out a deep pool of talent from Northeast Louisiana.

The recognition underscores the strong baseball and softball programs at Ouachita Christian, Mangham, Oak Grove, Winnfield and D’Arbonne Woods Charter, institutions that continue to produce players who excel at the state level.
