Brady Edmunds Predicts Brock Williams’ Flip to Ohio State

The Buckeyes' quarterback recruit believes the top tight end prospect will reconsider his Texas commitment before Signing Day

Edmunds' Confidence in a Flip

Brady Edmunds, a quarterback commit for the Ohio State Buckeyes, has emerged as one of the program’s most vocal recruiters. Since his own pledge in December 2024, he has been traveling across the country to discuss the university’s vision with prospective players, emphasizing the chance to shape a championship‑contending offense.

Brock Williams, a four‑star tight end from Libertyville, Illinois, announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns on May 15, 2025. Ranked as the No. 4 tight end and No. 79 overall prospect in the 2027 class, his decision was initially seen as a major win for Texas, though Ohio State, Alabama and a handful of other programs remained in the conversation.

Edmunds says he can envision Williams flipping his choice before National Signing Day, pointing to the Buckeyes’ relentless outreach and the player’s own expressed indecision during recent interviews. "We’ve built a relationship that goes beyond stats," Edmunds remarked, "and I think the environment at Ohio State could tip the scales."

The Buckeyes’ 2027 recruiting class already includes 13 verbal commitments, and adding Williams would bolster an already deep receiving corps. While Alabama continues to loom as a competitor, Edmunds believes the combination of coaching staff, facilities and cultural fit makes Ohio State the most likely destination for the talented tight end.
