The Soo Greyhounds announced this week that they have inked forward Cam Anderson to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, bringing a highly anticipated prospect into the fold for the upcoming season.
A Power Forward with a Purpose
Standing at 6‑foot‑3 and weighing 191 pounds, Anderson is classified as a true power forward. He honed his game with the Chicago Reapers 16U AAA club, where he recorded 32 goals and 23 assists over 58 contests, showcasing a blend of physical presence and offensive flair.
His performances on the national stage reinforced the buzz. At the US 16U Nationals he contributed a goal and an assist in four games, and at the 2025 Boys National 16 event he tallied four points (two goals, two assists) for Team Red. General Manager Kyle Raftis praised the youngster, saying Anderson’s “offensive skills and competitiveness” will make an immediate impact.
Anderson took the opportunity to thank the organization, expressing excitement about joining the Greyhounds and looking forward to contributing to the team’s success. He highlighted the chance to develop under the program’s structure while aiming to bring a championship mindset to the roster.
The signing marks a strategic move for the Greyhounds, who are betting on Anderson’s size, skill set and drive to bolster their forward lines. With the OHL season looming, the club hopes the new addition will help translate early promise into tangible results on the ice.
