Former coach brings conference experience and academic credentials to Boone

A Strategic Addition for the Mountaineers

App State Soccer announced the addition of Kris Kirchhoff to its coaching staff as an assistant coach, a move that aligns with the program’s core values and signals a push to further elevate the team’s competitiveness.

Kirchhoff arrives after a productive period at Carson‑Newman, where he helped develop four all‑conference athletes, bringing a proven record of player growth to the Boone campus.

During his tenure at Campbellsville University, his influence contributed to the program’s first Mid‑South Conference tournament championship in 2022, and he coached Angeline Kieh to All‑America honors, underscoring his ability to produce standout talent.

Before entering coaching, Kirchhoff played three seasons at Trinity Christian College, earning CCAC Scholar‑Athlete recognition twice and capturing the Keith Albers award, while completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Exercise Studies in 2018.

He later earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Olivet Nazarene University in 2020 and holds a USSF National ‘D’ Coaching License, credentials that reflect his commitment to both academic excellence and technical expertise.
