A Fresh Face in Lawrence
Dennis Parker Jr. stepped onto the campus of the University of Kansas this summer, eager to become part of the storied Jayhawks program.
Having spent two seasons at North Carolina State, where he contributed to a Final Four run, Parker brings a blend of experience and hunger to the college game.
After a standout year at Radford, where he averaged 18.3 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 48.4% from the field, Parker enters Kansas with three seasons of collegiate experience.
Mentoring the Next Generation
One of the most anticipated aspects of his arrival is the chance to work with Tyran Stokes, the class of 2026’s No. 1 overall recruit. Parker has described Stokes as a talented young man who excels on both sides of the floor, and he sees the partnership as a cornerstone for the Jayhawks’ upcoming season.
He believes that the blend of veteran presence and fresh talent will help the Jayhawks navigate the turnover from last season and compete strongly in the Big 12.
Off the court, Parker is excited to explore Lawrence, immerse himself in the city’s culture, and build connections that will support his development as a player and mentor.
