Decatur Independent School District announced this week that Brad Ingram, a coaching veteran with 36 years of experience — 18 of them as a head coach — has been appointed head coach of the girls basketball program. The district highlighted Ingram’s extensive background, which includes guiding Boswell to a state title in 2025.
A Proven Track Record
During his tenure at Boswell, Ingram helped the Pioneers secure the 2025 Class 6A Division II state championship, underscoring his ability to translate experience into on‑court success. Decatur officials say the hire aligns with their goal of capturing a third consecutive championship.
Athletic Director Cliff Watkins praised the new coach, noting that Ingram’s expertise and dedication to education make him an ideal fit for the district’s mission to develop well‑rounded student‑athletes.
