Telemundo is set to mark the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a full‑day celebration of soccer culture on Saturday, June 6. The broadcast network, together with its Spanish‑language sister Universo and streaming platform Peacock, will air a slate of live matches, behind‑the‑scenes documentaries and specials that spotlight the passion of the U.S. Hispanic community.
Game‑Day Schedule
The centerpiece of the day is a friendly between the U.S. Men’s National Team and Germany at Chicago’s Soldier Field, kicking off at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. Coverage begins two hours earlier with the Fútbol USA pre‑game show on Telemundo, Universo and Peacock, and will wrap up with the Fútbol USA post‑game analysis at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Later in the evening, at 8 p.m. Eastern, Telemundo will debut Diarios de Fútbol con Rafael Amaya, a new series that weaves personal stories of people whose lives have been reshaped by the beautiful game.
The program will be anchored by a roster of familiar voices — Adriana Monsalve, Andrés Cantor, Omar Zerón, Manu Sánchez and Copán Álvarez — who will provide commentary, analysis and on‑the‑ground reporting throughout the broadcast.
A special one‑hour preview, La Antesala, premieres at 5 p.m. Eastern and 4 p.m. Central, offering a glimpse into the upcoming World Cup and highlighting grassroots initiatives such as Street Soccer USA, an organization that uses the sport to empower underserved communities.
All of the live action and the Diarios de Fútbol premiere will be available to stream the following day on Peacock and via the Telemundo app, ensuring that viewers can catch every moment at their convenience.
By weaving together sport, culture and community, the June 6 lineup aims to reinforce soccer’s growing footprint in the United States while honoring the vibrant Hispanic heritage that fuels the game’s everyday impact.
