Boys and girls ages 6-13 will train at CU Arena under Coach Scott Clark

2026 Summer Youth Basketball Camps

Concordia University Irvine is set to run its 2026 Summer Youth Basketball Camps for boys and girls between the ages of six and thirteen. The sessions will take place inside the university’s state‑of‑the‑art CU Arena on the campus grounds, giving campers a genuine college‑level environment.

Each day runs from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon, with a complimentary lunch provided to keep participants energized. The schedule blends structured skill stations — shooting, ball‑handling, passing and finishing — with defensive drills, team competitions and short, live games, ensuring a balanced mix of learning and play.

Campers will be placed in groups according to age and skill level, allowing coaches to tailor instruction to each participant’s needs while maintaining an inclusive atmosphere for beginners and more experienced players alike.

Current members of the Concordia men’s basketball team will assist throughout the camps, leading drills and serving as role models. Their involvement adds a dynamic, hands‑on element that bridges the gap between theory and real‑game application.

Head coach Scott Clark emphasizes a fun, encouraging setting where every camper can grow both as an athlete and as a teammate. He notes that the camp’s core mission is to instill fundamentals of teamwork, sportsmanship, communication and a positive attitude that extend beyond the court.
