Ole Miss Baseball is heading to Auburn, Alabama, for the 2026 Super Regional round of the NCAA Baseball Tournament, marking the Rebels’ first Super Regional appearance since 2022. The team arrives as the No. 4 national seed and will open a best‑of‑three series against the host Tigers on Friday.
The Rebels secured the spot by sweeping the Lincoln Regional, where standout performances from players such as Hudson Calhoun, Hayden Federico and Brayden Randle highlighted the campaign. Ole Miss’s offense also set a new program record with 124 home runs this season, a milestone achieved by Judd Utermark and Austin Fawley, who became the first pair of teammates to each reach 20‑plus homers in a single year.
A Historic Super Regional Matchup
Pitching has been the backbone of the run. The Ole Miss staff leads the SEC with 672 strikeouts and boasts a rotation that includes Hunter Elliott, who became the first Rebel to post three 100‑plus strikeout seasons, and Tristan Bissetta, who has set career highs since arriving from Clemson. Auburn, coached by Butch Thompson, brings its own elite armament to the series. The Tigers’ pitching staff owns a 3.62 team ERA, the best in the SEC and sixth nationally, and Thompson has guided the program to its fifth Super Regional since 2017.
