NASCAR driver Chase Elliott has announced that he will act as a mentor to 11‑year‑old Brexton Busch, the son of the late Kyle Busch.
Elliott, who credits his own father Bill Elliott for shaping his career, says the guidance he received was invaluable and now he wants to pass that support on to the next generation.
Legacy and the Road Ahead
Brexton, who began karting at the age of five, comes from a racing dynasty that stretches back to his grandfather Tom Busch and his father Kyle, a two‑time NASCAR Cup Series champion.
The Busch family was recently struck by tragedy when Kyle Busch died last month from complications related to severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, leaving a void in the sport and in his son’s life.
Elliott expressed his condolences and his willingness to help Brexton navigate the challenges ahead, emphasizing that having a steady hand can make a world of difference for a young driver facing the pressures of a storied lineage.
