Celebrating Excellence on the Diamond
The Ohio High School Athletic Association’s East District has once again highlighted the brightest talents in baseball and softball for the 2026 season, continuing a tradition of celebrating top performers across its seven divisions.
From Division III to Division VII, the roster of honorees reflects a deep pool of skill, with standout athletes from schools spanning the state earning spots on the all‑district teams.
In Division III baseball, Tanner Henry, Ryan Lamonica, Caleb Hollins, Mahki Murray and Solomon Norris were recognized for their contributions, while in Division V the likes of Dylan Wood, Witten Schaad, Wyatt Marlatt, Jace McQueen and Ashton Ansel earned similar accolades. Division VI and VII also saw notable mentions, including Jacobie Balo, Nick Bernath, Coen Grandstaff, Hayden Perdue and others.
Softball received equal attention, with Division III honorees Alivia Reffitt, Gerran Matthews, Ally Peterson and Camdyn Tyson joining forces with Division IV players Miranda Cole, Addi Babcock, Kendall Snider, Estelle Matheney and Ava Miller, among others, showcasing the breadth of talent across the classifications.
The awards also singled out individual excellence, naming Garrett Carpenter Division IV Player of the Year and Dawson Geese Pitcher of the Year, underscoring the competitive balance and the growing depth of high school athletics in Ohio.
