Syracuse University’s football program is set to host eleven prospective athletes for official visits this weekend, giving them an up‑close look at the campus, the team’s facilities and the academic environment. The visits come at a time when the Orange are looking to bolster their roster for the upcoming season.
Recruits scattering across the country
While the Orange welcome their group, several other high‑profile prospects are scheduled to be on campus at rival institutions this weekend. Tyson Washington will be touring Penn State, Chase Guers is headed to West Virginia, and Judah Gumbs will travel to Arkansas, among others.
The list of visitors includes Elijah Kimble, who arrives from North Carolina, as well as Javon Lane bound for Temple, Connor Rooney heading to Charlotte, and Roman Coney making the trip to Cincinnati. Additional guests such as Marzear Douglas (Marshall), Jalen Moseley (James Madison), Jalen Welch (West Virginia), Semaj Dozier (Virginia Tech), Jason Lewis (Florida State), Mikey McQueen (Temple), Joey Hunter (Nebraska) and Tyler Younger (Rutgers) round out a diverse set of destinations.
The concentration of visits highlights the competitive nature of recruiting, with each program vying for the same talent pool. For Syracuse, the weekend offers a chance to make a strong impression on prospects who could shape the future of the team.
