The Princeton Tigers women’s soccer program has unveiled its 2026 campaign, confirming a schedule that blends eight home contests with a demanding slate of away games against some of the nation’s top programs.
The season will open on August 20 at home against Loyola (Md.), before the Tigers travel to face West Virginia on August 27, host James Madison on August 30, and take on Colgate on September 10. A subsequent road trip includes a matchup at Ohio State on September 3, setting the tone for a non‑conference slate that features opponents from the Big 12, ACC, Big Ten, Big East, Sun Belt and Patriot League.
A rigorous non‑conference agenda
Four of those opponents are perennial NCAA tournament participants, underscoring the rigor of the schedule as Princeton seeks to sharpen its mettle before Ivy League competition begins.
Returning attackers will bring back 21 of the 24 goals scored in 2025, including nine of the twelve individual scorers. Among them is rising junior forward Alexandra Barry, who will be a key contributor on the front line.
In goal, the duo of Cecilia Cerone and Sydney Romano, who split duties last season, are both set to return, providing continuity and experience between the posts.
Within the Ivy League, Princeton will host Harvard on September 26, Penn on October 10, Dartmouth on October 24 and Brown on November 7. The 2026 Ivy League Tournament is slated for November 12 and 15 at the home venue of the highest‑seeded team.
Coach Sean Driscoll and associate head coach Mike Poller expressed confidence that the challenging non‑conference schedule will prepare the squad for the rigors of Ivy League play and improve their prospects in the upcoming tournament.
