Cash Hollingshead, a Class of 2027 quarterback from Salem Hills, has pledged to the Iowa State Cyclones, marking the latest addition to a recruiting class that already features several promising signal‑callers.
A Recruit with Power‑4 pedigree
During his junior season he amassed 1,009 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, numbers that helped him attract his first Power‑4 offer from Iowa State. The Cyclones’ staff and facilities left a strong impression on him during a recent campus visit, a factor he cited as decisive in his decision.
The Cyclones currently list four quarterbacks on their roster, with Jaylen Raynor projected as the starter. Behind him, Zane Flores, Connor Moberly and incoming freshman Hudson Kurland provide depth, while veterans such as DJ Hunter, Ben Musser, Brodie Campbell, Blake Moser and Keith Heckendorf continue to develop.
Hollingshead is scheduled to make his official visit to Ames from June 19 to 21, an itinerary that will give him a closer look at the program’s offensive scheme and campus culture.
His commitment underscores Iowa State’s growing appeal among elite quarterbacks and adds another layer of competition to the quarterback room as the team looks to build on recent successes.
